Firstly, the research and development strength is weak, and there are few innovative achievements. The weak R&D strength is related to the small scale of industry enterprises and the shortage of scientific research personnel, but more importantly, enterprise leaders need to have a sense of collaborative innovation, and they also need to strengthen their learning and innovation concepts in order to achieve innovative results.
Secondly, the problem of overcapacity is prominent. The current production capacity of brown corundum is about 4.3 million tons, with a capacity utilization rate of less than 30%. According to the information obtained by the branch, there are still about 250000 tons of capacity under construction or expansion, which will further exacerbate the generation of excess capacity. The production capacity of green silicon carbide is about 2 million tons, with a capacity utilization rate of about 15%. There is still a large amount of outdated production capacity, and enterprises are slow to adjust their product structure and eliminate outdated production capacity. Product homogenization is severe, and with the continuous increase of electricity prices, labor costs, and raw material costs, enterprises can only lower prices to spread costs, which is also an important reason why prices have not been able to rise.
Thirdly, there are still prominent problems in clean production, especially the lack of control over the discharge of pollutants such as wastewater, exhaust gas, and dust during smelting and abrasive processing. Abrasive tools, known as the "teeth of industry," play an indispensable role in railway construction. With the further promotion of railway construction in our country, grinding machines and equipment used for railway processing, as well as powerful grinding wheels for rail finishing, are facing enormous development space.
The rapid development of the hardware mold abrasive industry can not only improve the image and brand of its own enterprises, but also be applied to many industries in China.
